DSS agents detained Frederick Nwajagu, the Eze Igbo of Lagos’ Ajao Estate, after he reportedly threatened to summon members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group that has been declared illegal, to Lagos in order to protect Igbo property.
According to information obtained, the DSS and the police collaborated to identify the Igbo chieftain early on Saturday.
According to reports, the squad followed Nwajagu to his castle, but he took off.
He was allegedly trailed to a motel in Ejigbo, where he was detained.
Nwajagu allegedly threatened to invite IPOB members to Lagos in a 49-second video that @DeeOneAyekooto posted on Twitter on Friday. He justified the threat by noting that some Igbo persons had been attacked in the state.
The Igbo leader asserted that he stuck by his statements and insisted that his people needed to take a position in Lagos.

They will be invited, “IPOB. These do not work. Every IPOB will defend each and every one of our stores. We also need to pay them. For that, we need to organise. That is what we must do. In order for them to cease assaulting us at midnight, in the morning, and in the afternoon, we must have our own protection.
They will be aware that we have our own guys there once they learn we have our own protection, which will happen before they arrive. I am not stating anything to conceal anything. I won’t hold back my opinions; let them go widely. In the video, he had stated that “Igbo must obtain their right and take a position in Lagos State.
In response to the tweet, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state’s police public relations officer, stated the command will oppose IPOB presence in the state.
The ever-ready @LagosPoliceNG would never fold its arms and permit such within the state, he wrote.
