Both Rabiu Kwankwaso and Abdullahi Ganduje, the immediate past governor of Kano State who replaced him in office, may have rekindled their political feud since they were both seen on Friday in the Presidential Villa, undoubtedly at the invitation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
After the meeting, Ganduje explained to State House reporters that he had gone to President Bola Tinubu to complain about his former boss, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and the present demolition project taking place in the state.
The destruction being carried out in Kano by Governor Abba Yusuf, according to him, is “illegal.”
Asserting that it was carried out without due process and in violation of the law, he called him Kwankwaso’s go-between.
According to Ganduje, the demolition activity was carried out without conducting any inquiry or providing any notice in accordance with the Land Use Act’s restrictions.
Recall that Yusuf ordered the security forces in Kano to seize all public properties that were allegedly sold by the Ganduje administration in his inaugural speech on May 29.
He claimed that the Ganduje government illegally acquired and constructed them.
Among the buildings destroyed in the most recent disaster were the Haji Camp, the Daula Hotel, and commercial centers near the Eid Prayer Ground in Kano, all of which, according to Ganduje, were the result of PPPs.
If I had met Kwankwaso, I would have smacked him. The Ganduje
