Dr. Alex Anozie, the Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, has passed away.

Anozie passed away on Tuesday at his Ososami home in Ibadan. He was 74 years old.

According to information obtained by OBASANJO NEWS24, the deceased’s remains have been transported to his country residence, Igboukwu in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, for a last burial.

He served as the company’s managing director and chief executive officer from Ibadan-based CONAC Optical until his death.

The deceased’s personal assistant, Mr. Samuel Ule, confirmed his demise.

He told the media that Anozie had certain physical problems and that he had walked himself to the Fumbell Diagnostic Centre on Monday morning to get tested.

He revealed, “The test results were supposed to be released today, but tragically we were horrified to hear that he slept and could not wake up from his sleep.

According to Ule, the deceased spent his entire life in Ibadan and made a significant contribution to the development of the local economy.
