The 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, has been appointed by the kingmakers in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The appointment was ratified at a meeting held at Mapo Hall on Friday.
The members of the Olubadan-in-Council, who are also the kingmakers, met to nominate and ratify Olakulehin as the new Olubadan.
The meeting, chaired by the former governor of Oyo State, High Chief Rasidi Ladoja, was attended by various members of the council.
After the ratification, the High Chiefs will send Olakulehin’s name to the state governor, Seyi Makinde, for endorsement.
