The tragic passing of Tunde Solomon, the operations manager at BON Hotel Nest in the Bodija area of Ibadan, Oyo State, has been confirmed by the hotel management on their official Instagram page.
It is believed that Solomon suffered a heart attack as a result of the nearby explosions that occurred on Tuesday night.
The hotel management expressed their deep sorrow and described Solomon as a dedicated and selfless worker who had contributed greatly to the organization during his 25 years of service. In related news, the Oyo State Government has announced that the number of casualties from the Ibadan explosion has now reached five, with two additional bodies recovered.
The government, under the direction of Governor Seyi Makinde, is actively involved in rescue operations and is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents affected by the incident.
Investigations into the cause of the explosion are ongoing, and the government will continue to provide updates and support to the affected individuals and their families.
