Over the weekend, Makinde was in Abuja at the Aso Rock Villa to deliver the report to the president.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was instructed “to work with the Oyo State Government to offer immediate and comprehensive relief to the victims” by the president, who had earlier expressed sympathy to the Oyo State government and people in the wake of the catastrophe.
All relevant government authorities had also been urged by President Tinubu to investigate the circumstances leading up to the disaster as soon as possible.
The Oyo State government would do everything in its power to support the victims and find and punish those responsible for the tragedy, Governor Makinde said, thanking the President for its support in the wake of the catastrophe.
