Chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has vowed that attacks on his property by some political thugs will not stop him from expressing the truth.
On Thursday, Oguntoyinbo, who was running for governor of Ogun State in 2023 as a member of the NNPP, stated as much.
According to information obtained by OBASANJO NEWS24, hoodlums broke into the Bullion Hotel in Ogun State’s Simawa Area early on Tuesday morning.
According to information obtained, the alleged political thugs at the hotel took off goods worth millions of naira.
In response, Oguntoyinbo, who also serves as the hotel’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), stated that he would not let the attacks on his property stop him from speaking up to the authorities.
In a statement released on Thursday that was made accessible to DAILY POST, Oguntoyinbo demanded an investigation into the frequent assaults on his hotel and himself.
On September 5, 2023, a bunch of thugs invaded the hotel in a similar incident, according to him. Some of the criminals were dressed as soldiers.
He insisted that CCTV evidence demonstrates how the men in uniforms from the police were harassing, assaulting, and stealing things from the hotel and the hotel security guards who were on duty.
The chairman of motorbike (Okada) riders in the Shimawa region of Ogun State, Alowonle of Shimawa, is a youngster, and the hoodlums identified themselves as such, according to the NNPP leader.
They won’t be able to stop me from speaking up for young people in Nigeria, and I’ll keep fighting for their welfare and advancement.
“The Police officers who smacked the security guards while watching television ought to face consequences for their actions. These boys frequently congregate within Shimawa’s secondary school, where they start evil schemes and terrorise helpless citizens.
Isaac Izunya, the legal counsel for the NNPP chieftain, urged the state’s police commissioner to look into the situation.
“In order to preserve the integrity of the Police, I am requesting that the Ogun State Police Commissioner and the Police Service Commission look into the alleged involvement of some men wearing Police uniforms in the attack.
“We discovered that some men wearing police uniforms not only helped the thug in his criminal activities but also harassed two security guards who were watching television by slapping and pulling them up with their uniforms.”
