Blessing Mariam Akiode, popularly known as Candy Bleakz, a rising star in the Nigerian music industry, has disclosed that when she ran away from home at the age of 16, she vowed never to return until she was a billionaire.

The Chocolate City signee made this disclosure while participating on Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s Rubbin’ Minds series on Channels TV.

“I left home with the mindset that ‘I’m leaving home to feed home,’” she added. I didn’t want to return home, but I had to because of the large luggage. I do talk to my family, but I did not want to return home. Because you have been away from home for a while, when you return, your siblings, parents, and the public will all be waiting for you. From what they see online, they will assume you have trillions of dollars in your account. I therefore needed to have enough suitcases [of money] to get back home. However, I have been speaking.

According to Candy Bleakz, she recently got back together with her family.
