I need to work, so I can’t date someone who won’t let me- Actress Shaffy Bello

Shaffy Bello, a well-known actress in Nollywood, has said that she will not date a man who prevents her from working.

Despite the stereotype that males should take care of the house, the actress stated in a talk with Stephanie Coker on the podcast Me, Her, and Everything Else that a woman should make an effort to financially support her husband at home.

She clarified that even if she were married to a millionaire, she would not accept being reduced to the status of a housewife.

“I believe a man was raised to be a provider,” Bello stated. Those who aspire to be kings typically look to them for guidance.

Therefore, I want to have my own as a woman so that I can support you when you need it. A man who says quit working is not someone I can date.

To tell the truth, though, even if you are a millionaire and you put me in a difficult situation, I still need to take action. Since who I am now is the reason you fell in love with me. I won’t demotion myself as a result of that.

According to Obasanjo News24, Shaffy wed her former spouse, Akinrimisi, in 1995; however, their marriage disintegrated in 2020.

Shaffy had previously stated in February that she is not interested in getting married and only wants a partner.
