I made three efforts to assist the majority of women, who make up 85%, in leaving their marriages – Jaiye Kuti
According to Jaiye Kuti, a popular Nollywood actress, a significant majority of married women, approximately 85%, express a desire to end their marriages.
During an interview with Gistzlife, she shared her personal experience of attempting to leave her own marriage on three separate occasions, only to find herself unable to do so.
Kuti believes that after getting married, couples become more acquainted with each other, especially in comparison to their dating phase.
She also highlighted the issue of men’s egocentric inclination to cheat as another factor that leads women to contemplate divorce. In her opinion, if you were to ask a hundred women, a vast majority of them would express a desire to exit their marriages.
Kuti further emphasized that when individuals from different cultures marry, their true selves begin to emerge, and men’s behavior can change drastically once a second marriage and children are involved. She also mentioned that men can possess egotistical tendencies and are often relentless when it comes to infidelity.
