On Sunday, Senator Ned Nwoko from Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly announced his move from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He emphasized that this decision was not motivated by political ambition or personal benefit; rather, it was a step taken to support good governance in the country.

In a statement released by his media consultant, Michael Ogah, the lawmaker clarified that his decision to switch parties was not motivated by electoral ambitions.

The statement indicated that Nwoko spoke in Agbor while addressing stakeholders and party supporters.

He stated, “My departure from the PDP wasn’t driven by election concerns. I made this choice after carefully considering the party’s internal challenges and my dedication to ensuring that my constituents receive top-notch representation.”

The senator stressed that he is committed to providing effective representation and backing policies aimed at advancing Delta State.
