Prof. Ngozi Odu, the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, has refuted claims circulating on social media about her resignation from office, labeling them as unfounded speculation.
Rumors, especially on Facebook, implied that Odu had resigned, sparking speculation about potential unrest within Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s administration.
In a statement released in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, her media aide, Owupele Benebo, refuted the allegations, describing them as false and misleading.
Benebo confirmed Odu’s role as deputy governor, highlighting her steadfast dedication to the administration led by Fubara.
The deputy governor encouraged the public to dismiss the false reports, emphasizing that she has not resigned and does not plan to do so.
