Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the upcoming 2023 general elections, has once again expressed his unwavering commitment to the party, dispelling any rumors of his departure.
Despite the ongoing internal crisis within the party, Obi emphasized that he has no intentions of leaving in the near future. Furthermore, he made it clear that he is not driven by a desperate desire to become Nigeria’s President at any point in his life.
During a press conference in Bauchi, where he inaugurated a hand pump for water supply in the Sabon Layi community, Obi emphasized that his current focus is on improving the living standards and conditions of Nigerians.

He stressed that the priority should be on good governance that will ultimately lead to a better Nigeria. Regarding the internal party crisis, Obi regarded it as a normal in-house problem that will be resolved amicably within the LP family.
He reiterated his unwavering loyalty to the party and his belief in peace, unity, and equality among all Nigerians. Obi’s personal presence at the event in Bauchi demonstrated his commitment to doing what is right and his refusal to delegate such responsibilities to others.
