President Muhammadu Buhari’s signing of the electoral law, according to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, has been praised for paving the way for both his election as governor and free and fair elections in his state.
After a one-on-one meeting with President Buhari at the State House today, he made this statement during a press conference.
Governor Adeleke is making his first trip to the state legislature since taking office in November last year on the platform of the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). When speaking to state house reporters, he claimed to be visiting the villa to say hello.
Governor Adeleke highlighted the president’s good health and said that both Nigerians and the international community have praised the way the exercise was carried out.
It should be recalled that Governor Adeleke defeated Gboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress at the election in July 2022. (APC).
Governor Adeleke said that he will have the chance to speak with Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the President’s chief of staff, about other matters of federal assistance during his visit to the palace.
