Recently, popular Nigerian actress Nazo Ekezie sparked some questions when she said on Instagram that she had no business dating impoverished guys.
Her statement drew a variety of responses, many of which criticized her for the post, which she eventually removed.
However, the actress elaborated on her remark in a Sunday Scoop interview.
I am not qualified to offer relationship counsel to anyone, she stated.
I wrote a post that was meant to make people think or chuckle.
But now many interpret that to suggest that I was requesting money from males.
The bustling actress said that she wasn’t searching for a partner to develop and invest in. “Self-care is what I care about most,” she declared.
Women must learn how to look for themselves. I come from a world that belongs to women, not to men.
I enjoy conversing with women because I am one myself. I don’t know how my “happy” post could have been misconstrued as “negative” by others. Since then, I have received several “nonsense” letters, mostly from impoverished males. I have no business with you if you are a poor man. I’m not trying to find a man I can build. I lack the energy to accomplish that. I would rather construct my own. Every time I write a motivating piece, I am referring to myself.
