On Saturday, President Bola Tinubu declared that he did not own any land in the Guzape neighbourhood of Abuja.
The Guzape sector is a relatively old upscale neighbourhood in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)’s Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
He was addressing the Guzape neighbourhood during the groundbreaking of a road project.
“I stand here as President; I do not own a plot of land here (Guzape District),” stated Tinubu. However, I have the people’s backing and the authority to provide a decent standard of living and living space.

The President went on to say that he is continuing making changes to the nation’s financial system.
Restructuring the system, according to Tinubu, will result in advancement.
“Legal action is not the solution, as all of you present, the Guzape District Head, and the lawmakers know. The solution is compensation. We should strive for development that is centred on the needs of the populace in order to promote economic prosperity.
What use is a large area of land that is inaccessible due to hills and rocks? Let’s have a conversation with our people and work together to develop Nigeria,” he remarked.
