Pope Francis has clarified his position on the controversy surrounding his stance on same-sex couples, emphasizing that while he allowed blessings for individuals, he did not approve of blessings for same-sex unions.
According to Fox News, the Pope addressed questions about a perceived shift in Vatican policy during a conversation with CBS ’60 Minutes’, where he explained that he did not authorize the blessing of same-sex unions as it goes against the sacrament.
The Pope highlighted that while he cannot bless a union of this nature, he believes in blessing each person, emphasizing that the blessing is for everyone.
