I dare you to remove me from PDP — Wike
The former governor claimed that before accepting President Bola Tinubu’s offer of a ministry position, he informed PDP leadership.
Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has dared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to suspend or censure him.
On Wednesday, Wike indicated in an exclusive interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today programme that he has not yet met the party leader who will suspend or expel him from the organisation.
“Who will punish me? Since the party encouraged rotation, I should be the one demanding the punishment of those who broke the party’s rules.
“Whose suspension of me? I want to challenge anyone,” Wike declared.
Before accepting the ministerial offer from President Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the ex-governor said he had informed PDP leadership.
Wike said that while serving in the APC administration, he was still a PDP leader. He remarked, “I want to help Asiwaju (Tinubu) end well.
The G5 group member and PDP power broker claimed he owed no one an explanation for his backing of the transfer of power to southern Nigeria.
“We’re just waiting for the presidential panel to finish so you can see who is really doing good work for the party,” Wike added.
“How is it even possible to discuss excluding me? A governor was brought by a state? What state sent three senators? a state that generated 32 members of the House of Assembly? a state that gave birth to 11 of the 13 House of Representatives members.
“The person who would suspend me is the one who couldn’t deliver three senators and a governor?
“With all due respect, I have not seen that individual. Nobody will take action. Therefore, it is not a concern that they will actually execute it.
