“I Am the Most Bullied Widow in Nigeria” – Mohbad’s Wife, Omowunmi Speaks Out

Omowunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, opens up about the intense bullying she has faced since his passing. 

Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of Nigerian music star Mohbad, has stated that she considers herself “the most bullied widow” in Nigeria.

She claimed that her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, is harassing her and influencing others against her by insisting on a DNA test for her son, Liam.

During an appearance on TVC’s program *Your View*, Omowunmi stated, “I have nothing to hide. I don’t object to my father-in-law requesting a DNA test; it’s his approach that’s concerning. Currently, I feel like I’m the most bullied widow in Nigeria.”

She mentioned that she and her father-in-law were best friends before her husband’s passing. She emphasized that he was the one who pressured both of them into having a child when they weren’t ready, using fasting and prayer to influence their decision.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023. Within less than a day after his untimely death, his father, Joseph Aloba, laid him to rest in Ikorodu, Lagos State. On September 21, amid ongoing controversies about the circumstances of his passing, authorities exhumed Mohbad’s body for an autopsy.

The autopsy results are still awaited; however, Joseph Aloba, the deceased’s father, has previously mentioned that the singer will only be reburied once these results are available and a DNA test is carried out on his grandson Liam to confirm his paternity.
