Omah Lay, a well-known musician from Nigeria, has described how his sudden success had an impact on his mental health.
In a recent interview on the Afrobeats Podcast with media personality Adesope Olajide, the singer disclosed this information.
Omah Lay recalled his early difficulties with popularity and how it affected his mental state as he was still trying to learn his ways. He said, “At first I battled, and it put me in a negative mental condition since I was still trying to learn my ways.
“However, as time went on, I became at ease and understood that I should proceed at my own pace.
“As soon as I discovered it, I become much more resilient and started to appreciate life more.
“I can talk about my vulnerabilities if I can include them in my song. I’m aware that the world is listening to my music, which is entirely based on my real-life experiences.
