Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, made fun of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, on Friday for his repeated efforts to hold the nation’s top political position.

Atiku, who is now 76, unsuccessfully ran for president in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019.

At the APC Presidential Candidate Meeting with Niger Delta Stakeholders held in Gbaramatu, Delta State, Tinubu discussed his intentions for the Gbaramatuneighborhood with the Pere of the Gbaramatu Kingdom, Oboro-Gbaraun II (Aketekpe, Agadagba).

The deep sea port, the roads, the bridge, the university, and the industrial park at Ogidigben were all issues that you brought up.
All of you here, even Kabiyesi, thought about these things, the former governor of Lagos State stated.

“Kabiyesi, Your Royal Highness, there aren’t many of us left running as I stand before you. One claims to be Atiku The number of times he ran is unknown. He is exhausted and always on the go. Requesting that he go sit down. It’s enough already.

“The other one, he thinks we’re going to cut statistics. He deceives with math that no Indian can ever complete. It makes me feel ashamed to even speak his name. I won’t say who it is. Improper statistics, wrong math, and economics of the warehouse. What Nigeria needs is not that.

It was a pleasure to learn that one of my own blood was a part of Your Royal Majesty from Badagry, Kabiyesi, Your Royal Majesty. What else do you require, then? You require integrity and a knowledgeable driver. I am that.

Despite the fact that Tinubu did not specifically mention Obi or Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), two other significant candidates in the 2023 elections, his remarks were greeted with screams of “Jagaban! Jagaban!”

He informed the Pere that frequent consultations between his government and the king would take place.

“Our brothers here, we will embrace them for the advancement of the region, the community of Gbaramatu, and other connected areas — economic advancement, progress, jobs for our young people, and a promised tomorrow that is assured.

“Here before you is a new source of hope. And I guarantee that you will live a long and prosperous life with God on your side, Tinubu stated.
