The House of Representatives has officially confirmed Oluyede as the new Chief of Army Staff, marking a key development in Nigeria’s military leadership.
The House of Representatives has confirmed Olufemi Oluyede as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
The confirmation followed the presentation of a report by Babajimi Benson, who serves as the chairman of the Committee on Defense.

Reports indicated that the Joint Committee on Army and Defense conducted a screening for Oluyede on Wednesday.
Remember that President Bola Tinubu nominated Oluyede as the Acting Chief of Army Staff because of the ill health of Taoreed Lagbaja, the former Chief of Army Staff, who later passed away.
