House of Reps Begins Review of Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bills

The House of Representatives has commenced the review of tax reform bills submitted by President Bola Tinubu, aiming to reshape Nigeria’s fiscal policies. Read more on the proposed changes and implications.

The House of Representatives has begun reviewing the Finance Committee’s report on four tax reform bills submitted to the National Assembly by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The report, presented by Committee Chairman James Abiodun Faleke (APC, Lagos) on Tuesday, was reviewed in a private meeting between the committee and House leadership prior to the official discussions starting on Thursday.

The Nation reported that the House suspended all items on their order paper to facilitate the discussion and review of the bills.

It was also noted that large copies of the report were carried into the Chamber in big bags commonly referred to as “Ghana must go” sacks.

Faleke presented the four bills to the House for consideration, urging members to approve all included recommendations.
