The Reps committee is looking into IPPIS mismanagement and employment racketeering by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

Professor Is-haq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), has defended the commission’s choice to hire 300 people without posting any job openings.

The choice, according to Professor Oloyede, who testified before the House of Representatives on Monday, was made to fill openings caused by retirement.

The Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) and employment racketeering by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies are both under investigation by the House of Representatives’ special committee.

The committee also noted that 14 Federal Character Commission (FCC) employees were paid through IPPIS despite not being employed by any federal government entities.
