Hilda Bassey, a well-known chef from Nigeria, responded to Alan Fisher, an Irish chef employed in Japan, smashing two records for the longest cooking marathon by a single person.

Chef Alan Fisher, an Irishman living in Japan, holds two Guinness World Records for cooking marathons, according to OBASANJO NEWS24.

The previous record of 93 hours and 11 minutes set earlier this year by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci was surpassed by Fisher’s 119 hours and 57 minute cooking streak.

In addition, he smashed the previous record for the longest baking marathon, which stood at 31 hours and 16 minutes, by baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes.

Hilda Baci congratulated him on her X page in response.

Huge congrats to Alan Fisher!,” she wrote. 119 hours and 57 minutes is an amazing accomplishment, and as the new world record holder, I wish him all the best.
