“It is a common occurrence to witness numerous car owners and drivers covering their licence plates without any justification; this is improper and potentially illegal,” Adejobi stated.

“You don’t hide your licence plate in any way. All cars must be properly registered, which means that the registration numbers must always be visible.

He claims that there are some exceptions, such as “pennant officers” and the leaders of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government, who drive official vehicles decorated with flags or pennants.

Adejobi declared, “Their numbers and pennants correspond with the seal of their offices or ranks (military or police). The pennant must be lowered by 6 o’clock with their numbers hidden, or they must leave the automobile when the drivers are moving their vehicles.
