The Benue State capital, Makurdi, is currently being attacked by suspected armed Fulani herdsmen in the Tyo-tu neighbourhood.
Tyo-tu is situated in Makurdi on Gboko Road.
Ukan Kurugh, a well-known blogger, social media influencer, activist, and humanitarian who was born in Benue, declared that the attack was still going on and urged the security services to send out people as soon as possible to stop it.

“Suspected herdsmen are currently attacking at Tyo Tu near Gboko Road. Ukan Kurugh said on his Facebook wall, “Travellers are advised to ply that road with caution now, and the security agencies should act fast.”
In Benue State, attacks, kidnappings, and murders by alleged Fulani herdsmen have become commonplace events, rejecting all previous attempts at resolution.
