Herbalist Arrested in Anambra for Possessing Human Bones
An Anambra herbalist was caught with 11 human bones, leading to his arrest. Discover the details behind this disturbing incident.
In Anambra State, Ezekiel the herbalist was apprehended for being in possession of approximately eleven distinct human bones.
Over the weekend, security operatives nabbed Ezekiel in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, where he resides. He hails from Ezza in Ebonyi State.
After whistleblowers noticed unlawful activities happening in his home, the suspect was arrested based on a tip-off. A video of the raid has been making its rounds on social media channels.
During the raid, a video displayed bones belonging to different human body parts that were confiscated from the suspect’s home.
Ezekiel admitted in the course of interrogation that he was dealing with human bones, but vindicated himself by stating that a relative from Ebonyi State gave them to him. His excuse for having these bones is related to prevailing communal clashes there. He went further to disclose his use of the same bones as ingredients for preparing various efficacious talismans meant specifically for discerning individuals seeking premium quality artefacts.
During the footage, a security operative who was one of the interrogators advised the community to exercise caution when renting out their homes and monitor their tenants’ activities. He praised the informant whose tip-off facilitated both apprehension and enforcement actions.
SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police Public Relations Officer for Anambra State, verified that a video of an interception was accurate. He added that during routine patrolling activities by vigilant groups and police personnel from Neni Division in the state, officers apprehended the suspect.
Ikenga added that the suspect is presently in custody and being interrogated, with additional information to follow.
