An Academic Credential Jemima Shetima Balami, a female student doing an industrial attachment with Adamawa State Television in Yola, took her own life.

Jemima, a Federal Polytechnic, Mubi student studying mass communication, is said to have killed herself by poisoning herself because her lover declared he was no longer interested in dating her.
According to reports, the boyfriend teaches at Yola’s Modibbo Adama University.
The female student passed away at home in Vinikilang, a Riverside hamlet close to Yola, the state capital. She was from Garkida, in the Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
It is reported that Jemima, 24, is her father’s sole daughter.
According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer for Adamawa State, who verified the occurrence on Monday, the deceased’s father had reported the incident to the authorities.
“Jamiema’s father reported that she committed suicide by taking a deadly substance,” Nguroje stated. According to a different account, she went to see her partner, a lecturer at Yola’s Modibbo Adama University, and was ordered to discontinue the relationship. The deceased poisoned herself after learning that she was breaking up with her boyfriend.
Nguroje promised a thorough investigation into the situation, nevertheless.
