The legendary John Terry of Chelsea is the toughest defender Harry Kane, the captain of England, has ever faced.
This was stated by Kane in a series of rapid-fire questions with ESPN prior to England’s home match against Malta on Friday in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, which will be followed by a trip to North Macedonia on Monday.

Kane responded, “I faced John Terry early in my career and I thought he was one of the best defenders in the world,” when asked about the toughest defender he had ever faced.
“Very intelligent, very intelligent,” he continued.
Since moving from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich in the summer, Kane has been a standout player for the Bundesliga winners.
So far this season, the striker has scored an incredible 17 goals for Bayern in 11 Bundesliga games.
