Vice President Kamala Harris vows to earn the support of Gen-Z voters, focusing on the issues important to them.

Kamala Harris, the presumptive nominee for the Democratic party in United States, has committed to winning over young voters by tapping into their latest surge of enthusiasm.

During a virtual speech at an Atlanta summit hosted by Voters of Tomorrow, a liberal organization led by Gen Z members on Saturday, she provided assurance to attendees that their opinions will be acknowledged.

Harris declared, “We recognize the significance of young voters and acknowledge that your vote is not guaranteed. We pledge to work hard in order to earn it.”

For several months, organisations led by youths had cautioned that President Joe Biden was struggling to connect with young voters and urged him to prioritize their crucial concerns. Otherwise, he might forfeit their votes.

After endorsing Harris and withdrawing from the November presidential race, a significant number of young people have taken to social media platforms to express their support for her.

At the summit, she questioned the younger generation and acknowledged their leadership on crucial matters. She further asked what sort of nation they wish to reside in at present.

“Is it a nation of liberty, empathy, and lawful conduct? Or a nation plagued by disorderliness, dread and animosity? The crucial point is that each one of us holds the key to this inquiry.”

According to a recent New York Times/Siena poll, Harris has an 18-point lead over Republican candidate Donald Trump among voters under the age of 30.
