Harris Accepts Democratic Presidential Nomination

On Thursday, Kamala Harris received the Democratic presidential nomination and addressed an enthusiastic gathering of supporters proclaiming that she would lead them in “forging a path towards new possibilities.”

The vice president stated, “I acknowledge your nomination on behalf of all individuals – every American who transcends party affiliations, race or gender; including those whose grandmothers speak a different language.”

Harris recognized that not every listener was a follower and stated the upcoming November election against Donald Trump presents an invaluable moment to transcend past animosity, distrust, and divisive conflicts. She declared, “My presidency will bring people together to achieve our loftiest ambitions. We must continue striving for a better tomorrow – that is the battle we face today, one which concerns America’s fate.”
