The Kano State Students’ Council has announced its refusal to heed opposition parties’ appeal for their participation in the anticipated nationwide demonstrations.
“The Council’s Chairman, Comrade Yahaya Usman Kabo has stated that although they are aware of opposition parties’ influence in calling Kano State Students to protest, the Council will not partake.”
On Sunday, Kabo urged all Kano State students to refrain from engaging in any type of demonstration during his statement to reporters in Kano.
Unknown individuals who are against Nigeria’s democracy and prosperity have arranged this protest. Their motive is not due to economic difficulties but rather their inability to accept the outcome of an election they lost.
Their intention is to create disorder and incite violence.
