Happie Boiz, a former security guard who is currently performing, is said to have been detained in Cyprus.
According to a reliable source, three of the kids were arrested, appeared in court yesterday, and were consequently remanded in custody.
Recalls that the boys gained notoriety earlier this year after criticising cleric Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who sent them to Cyprus on a scholarship after they were fired from a fast food restaurant for dancing while working, though specifics of their arrest and detention are still unclear as of the time of filing this report.
The gang of young men, lead by Matthew Kelechi, made fun of the revered priest by saying that he had left the youngsters in Cyprus.
Then, the priest proposed to pay for their round-trip tickets to Nigeria so they could enrol at any university there or in the Benin Republic, but they declined his offer.
The kids also made fun of the priest and made snide remarks about how he couldn’t finish their study abroad programme in Europe because of money problems and a lack of available foreign currency.
