Hadi Sirika and Brother Arraigned in Alleged N19.4bn Fraud Case, Plead Not Guilty

Hadi Sirika, the former minister of aviation, has been charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with contract fraud.

Sirika, his brother Ahmad Abubakar Sirika, and his company Enginos Nigeria Limited were arraigned by the EFCC in front of Judge Suleman Belgore of the FCT High Court, which is located in Garki, Abuja.

On May 14, 2024, they were charged with ten counts of the modified charge, which was submitted on May 13.

By giving Enginos Nigeria Limited contracts worth N19.4 billion, Sirika is accused of abusing his position.

On every count, the defendants entered a not guilty plea.
