Gunmen who stormed the INEC headquarters in Imo are IPOB members, according to police

The Indigenous People of Biafra, often known as IPOB, have been blamed by the Imo State Police Command for an attack on the INEC in Imo State.

Mike Abattam, a spokesman for the Command, said that some of the people who shot at INEC’s state headquarters were members of the IPOB.

Investigations into the incident, according to Abattam, revealed that IPOB members were accountable.

“They are thought to be indigenous Biafrans.”Those who will be considered complicit will be determined by the results of our investigation.

“We pursued them hard.” He told Channels TV that three of them were neutralized as a result of tactical teams from the command being able to track them down.

According to Obasanjonews24, unidentified gunmen attacked the INEC office in Owerri, Imo State.

No fewer than three suspects were killed as a result of the incident that happened on Monday.
