Mr. Steven Ibrahim, the Kujama district chief of Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Area, has been abducted by suspected gunmen.
Along the Kaduna-Kujama highway, he and two other individuals were abducted while departing a reservation centre situated behind Bethel Baptist School.
According to a local senior JTF member who wishes to remain unidentified, the incident happened on Sunday night at around seven o’clock.

He said he was with two other persons when the attackers arrived on a motorbike and chose the district head at gunpoint.
The event took occurred on Sunday night at around seven o’clock in the evening behind Bethel Baptist School. He claimed, “People in the Anguwar Ayaba community reported seeing them being driven into the bush by the bandits on their motorcycles.”
Ibrahim Saleh, the Ardon Ardodi of Chikun Local Government, confirmed the occurrence to this publication on Wednesday and called it regrettable.
“Yes, our district chief was kidnapped. Very unfortunate, and may God put a stop to these kinds of things,” was all he added.
In a related incident, suspected bandits ambushed Kakangi Community in the Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna State, injuring two mobile police officers with gunshots.
The event happened early on Monday when the robbers raided the neighborhood’s edges in an effort to burn down the armoured personnel carrier that belonged to the local mobile police unit.
