A school principal and his teacher were brutally murdered by unknown assailants, and the Ebonyi State Government called it “condemnable.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalled that on October 13, a teacher named Moses Nwibo and the school’s principal, Simon Ominyi, were allegedly killed in the building.

According to NAN, there have recently been a number of instances of cult conflicts in different areas of Abakaliki, the state capital.

The commissioner for education, Paul Nwobashi, spoke about the event in an interview with NAN on Monday. He claimed that the teacher and the principal were killed by their attackers, who also stole their motorcycle.

The heinous crime was deemed “sad and condemnable” by Mr. Nwobashi.

He claimed that the state’s security services had been informed and given the task of finding the villains behind the heinous deed.

We still mourn them now, which is unfortunate.

“Governor Francis Nwifuru has been updated on the situation and has spoken with security services, particularly the police.

He has requested that they move quickly to guarantee that the offenders are apprehended and prosecuted.

“At the moment, several people are being questioned.

He added, “We have been discussing the appropriate procedures with local, state, and federal security organisations to ensure that maximum security is maintained around schools in the state.

The state administration was trying to enhance school security, he promised the teachers.

They should be aware that everyone’s concern is security.

Mr. Nwobashi stated, “The state government is not going to take it lightly and we are not happy about it.”

NAN recalled that the police had sworn to find the murderers and advised locals to maintain a vigilant security mindset.
