The attack took place on Sunday evening while the two were riding a motorcycle back from a political campaign in Kizachi Village, Pari Ward.

John Wanneh, the Secretary to the Village Head of Kizachi, recalled that they were together until about 6 p.m. before parting ways so that the victim could return home to Bakin-Kogi.

“It was barely 10 to 15 minutes after we parted ways when we heard gunshots near some guinea corn farms,” Wanneh said.

He conveyed his uncertainty about the motive, saying, “We cannot determine who committed this crime or if it has any political connections.”

Wanneh also urged the government to build a bridge and upgrade the road infrastructure, enhancing accessibility during emergencies.
