Two persons who were thought to be husband and wife were shot by some unidentified gunmen, and their remains were left in the trunk of their Toyota Camry, which had the licence plate EE-621-EU.

Early on Wednesday morning, on the Tempo Junction, Umunya axis of the Enugu-Onitsha Motorway, two new corpses covered in blood were observed by onlookers in a solitary spot.
A video that is currently making the rounds on social media depicts passersby circling and scrutinising a dark-colored Toyota Corolla. Two more corpses were placed inside the boot of the vehicle, which had its doors wide open.
The blood saw leaking from under the car boot suggested the victim may have been killed recently.
DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, verified the occurrence when asked about the situation.
Ikenga continued, saying that the two dead bodies had been found and placed in a mortuary by the Oyi Division police officers, and that inquiries were underway to determine the cause of their deaths.
Two dead bodies were found in a car trunk along the Enugu-Onitsha Motorway at around 7:30 am today, 24 January 2024, by police officers attached to the Oyi Division under the direction of the DPO.
At the location, the agents also found the abandoned automobile and a few enlarged cartridges. Investigations have started as the bodies have been placed in the mortuary.
