Gunmen have kidnapped eight people during a traditional ceremony in Anambra, causing widespread alarm.
During a customary title ceremony in Amakor village, situated within the Nanka Community of Orumba North LGA located in Anambra State, several individuals were abducted and twelve others were wounded by armed assailants who disrupted the event.
During the peak of the event, chaos and brutality ensued as some attackers wearing masks while others were dressed in police uniforms.

Emmanuel Ilo was present during this attack, but miraculously escaped with his life due to what he believed was divine intervention. Additionally, Ilo holds an Ozo title.
Barr. Obinna Ilo, Amakor village chairman and other notable individuals are among those who were kidnapped.
The kidnappers have not made any contact and the location of those who were kidnapped is still unknown.
SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police Public Relations Officer of Anambra State, stated that he was unaware of the incident and recommended informing local officials.
