On Tuesday night, a group of gunmen attacked Congo village in the Bokkos local government area of Plateau State resulting in six fatalities.
According to sources within the community, the assault took place at approximately 7 PM following the closure of the local market. At that time, there were only a handful of traders and customers still present in the area.

As per accounts given by local inhabitants, the assailants broke into the marketplace and began shooting indiscriminately. Sadly, this resulted in six fatalities while another person sustained serious injuries and is presently receiving urgent medical treatment.
The escalation of attacks targeted towards various communities within Bokkos LGA in recent times has been further exacerbated by this violent incident.
According to current updates, DSP Alabo Alfred, the representative for the state police command has not yet addressed inquiries regarding the occurrence.
