A POS Operator only known as Biggy was allegedly kidnapped by gunmen from his Delta State home.

The incident happened at Egbo Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area, on Friday at 3 p.m.

When the victim’s buddy noticed the Dare Devil gunmen firing at him, he fled the scene.

According to reports, as he was making his getaway, the bullet went through the building’s wall.

Both the victim and the kidnappers had not responded as of the time this report was submitted.

Tension has arisen between local business owners, indigenous people, and citizens as a result of the occurrence.

Human rights advocate from the Niger Delta, Israel Joe, has expressed disapproval of the state’s increasing rate of insecurity, stating, “We need to be concerned about the continuous and unrelenting rate of kidnapping in Delta State, particularly in Ughelli South, which includes Egbo, Aragba, Otokutu, Uvwie, Warri, and surrounding areas.”

“The security agencies need to step forward to stop this nasty, societal disease that is trending. How might kídnąppíng become a daily occurrence today?

SP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police, asserted that the incident was not reported.

Edafe wrote, “Not reported pls, so not confirmed,” in a brief WhatsApp chat to our journalist in Warri.
