At the moment, Guinea Bissau is leading Group A of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying competition.
This comes after their 1-0 triumph in the Lusophone derby against Sao Tome & Principe on Wednesday.
Because their own stadium has been deemed unfit for use in international competition, Sao Tome gave up home advantage to Guinea Bissau.
After five games, they now have 10 points, one more than the Super Eagles, and a one-point advantage.
In the 55th minute, Zinho Gano scored the game-winning goal to give Guinea Bissau the victory.
If Nigeria defeats Sierra Leone in the other group game on Sunday, they will be guaranteed a spot in their fourth straight AFCON.
