As a result of the outcome, City has lost its last four league games.
“Aston Villa were better than us,” Guardiola remarked following the Villa Park match.
We had trouble following through on some of our attempts, particularly when they countered with a medium block, and we were unable to identify the gaps in time.
“They are very physical and have a lot of control over many aspects, so it was really challenging.”
With Villa overtaking them into third place, Guardiola’s team is currently in fourth place, six points behind leaders Arsenal.
