Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that Erling Haaland can only win the Ballon d’Or if he continues to win trophies and score goals.
Guardiola was commenting following Haaland’s two goals in Tuesday night’s Champions League triumph over Young Boys.

In as many games, the 23-year-old has already increased his season goal total to 15.
Guardiola was asked if Haaland, who came in second to Lionel Messi this year, could win the trophy the following year.
He will have an opportunity to win it if he and his teammates can bring home more trophies.
Guardiola declared, “If he doesn’t, then he won’t win it.”
Haaland has scored 67 goals in 70 appearances for City and 39 goals in just 34 Champions League outings.
