All permanent secretaries in different Ministries, Agencies, and Departments, or MDAs, have been ordered to be suspended immediately by Abia State Governor Alex Otti.
On Thursday, this was revealed by Katie Oko, the governor’s chief press secretary.
In the statement, it was noted that the Head of Service had also been suspended.
Oko stated that the development is taking place in the wake of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Recovery of Properties and Funds Belonging to the Abia State Government’s Inauguration.
Therefore, the Governor has given his or her approval for the appointment of Lady Joy Maduka, Director of the Ministry of Education, as Acting Head of Service (HOS).
Part of the statement states, “By this notice, the Clerk of the House and the Solicitor General are directed to hand over to the most senior Director in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.”
