Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has declared a reward of N10 million for any information that could help in capturing the individuals responsible for the recent killing of two police officers in the state.

Following a State Security Council meeting, Governor Mbah expressed his determination to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice, promising to utilize all possible resources for their apprehension.

During the press briefing, Governor Mbah, accompanied by security officials such as Commissioner of Police Mr. Kanayo Uzuegbu, mentioned that intelligence reports pointed towards the involvement of individuals linked to the Eastern Security Network (ESN) who arrived in multiple SUVs.

He urged the public to stay vigilant and report any relevant information or sightings to the authorities, emphasizing the state’s commitment to maintaining law and order.

Governor Mbah condemned the brutal killing of the police officers and assured that there would be no safe haven for criminals in Enugu State, highlighting the need to use all necessary means to capture and prosecute those responsible for the crime.

He also conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased officers and guaranteed government assistance, while outlining plans to leverage advanced technology and coordinated efforts to track down and neutralize the attackers, underscoring the collective determination to uphold a secure and respectable society in Enugu State.
