In Taraba State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asserted that Governor Agbu Kefas possesses the authority to designate anyone as per his want.
In response to criticism of the governor’s most recent appointments, the party leadership announced this on Saturday through Andetarang Irammae, spokesperson.
The governor recently released the list of PDP faithful appointed to positions as Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Community Special Assistants, Heads, and Members of Boards, Commissions, and Agencies.
Concerns were raised by a few party faithful who disagree with the governor’s attitude over some of the names on the lists.

In response to their concerns, the party’s leadership asked the irate members to maintain their composure during a dialogue with media in Jalingo, the state capital.
“We expect the appointees, who are all members of our party and have a strong background in politics and governance, to contribute their wealth of experience to the state’s development and good governance.” Irammae said.
stating that the party’s leadership and government representatives communicate with one another to address the sincere worries of the party’s supporters and urging members to have patience.
In light of Governor Agbu Kefas’ recent selections, he asked party members to exercise caution and avoid overheating the system, arguing that the governor has the rights to choose anybody he pleases.
Irammae, who believed that the party in the state had members in every corner of Taraba, asserted that no one could be appointed to many political offices at the same time.
“It must be this one today and another tomorrow. I will just appeal that people who are uncomfortable with the appointment should maintain their composure and support the government,” the speaker continued.
