The governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, has expressed concern over the violent altercation that broke out in the state between Nigerian Army personnel and police officers.
The state’s Yola North Local Government Area was the target of an attack by some soldiers on Wednesday against the police command headquarters. The incident resulted in the death of Jacob Daniel, a police inspector, which terrified the locals.

A “emergency security meeting” was organised in response to the development, according to a statement released by Fintiri on Thursday. The meeting’s resolution called for a “commitment to justice and collaboration for the peace of Adamawa and Nigeria.”

“The battle around Target Junction has been settled, with a dedication to equity and cooperation for Adamawa and Nigeria’s peace.
